Kathryn M. Rish passed away on March 13 2010 with her daughters at her side at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Southeast Volusia Care Center in Edgewater Florida. A Funeral Mass will be held today at 8:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 4675 South Clyde Morris Boulevard Port Orange followed by an entombment at Daytona Memorial Park. Kathryn was born in New York City New York on May 20 1920. She worked for a multiple Doctors practice in Manhattan as Medical Assistant until she married her husband Dale L. Rish of 65 years. After the family moved to Columbus Ohio in 1955 Kathryn was a Medical Assistant/Office Manager for various Doctors at The Ohio State University Medical Center. After approximately 30 years at OSU she and Dale retired to Florida. While living in Port Orange she became very active in the Palmetto Women's Club in Daytona Beach. She was an active member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband. Mrs. Rish is survived by her two daughters: Denise (Rish) Sever and husband Dr. Joseph Sever their four children and 3 grandchildren of Denver Colorado; and Blanche M.
