Kathryn Jones

January 21, 1947 - August 20, 2021

Kathryn H. Jones, 74, passed away on August 20, 2021, at Advent Hospital in Daytona Beach, Fl. Kathy, a Florida native was born on Jan. 21, 1947, in Jacksonville, Fl. She was the daughter of Willis Robert "Bob" Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Henry. After graduating from Terry Parker High school in Jacksonville, FL, the family moved to South Daytona, Fl. It was during this time that she met Steve Jones, while she was working at Sue Gordon's drapery shop, and he was working at Rod's Carpet. On September 10, 1976, they were married. For the next 45 years Kathy and Steve shared many joys, like building their beautiful country home together, adventures in The Keys, fishing and camping trips, but the best joy was watching their children and later grandchildren play and grow. The pride that Kathy had for her whole family was unmistakable, they were everything to her. As the matriarch of her family, Kathy was always there for them to turn to in times of struggle and times of joy, or even just for the normal day to day life updates, and those conversations will be greatly missed. Kathy enjoyed a lengthy, 30 - year career, in tax preparation and formed a great group of friends that she held close to her heart. For all who have known and loved Kathy, we are grateful to have had such an amazing woman, a woman that had strength of steel, in our lives. Kathy takes a piece of all of our hearts with her in her passing. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents and sons, Kyle Jones, and Robert "Robbie" Davis. Survived by her husband Steve, her children Clint (Valerie Dilley) Jones, Amanda (Patrick Yeager) Jones and stepson Ronald Jones, her grandchildren, Ashley Jones, Elise Jones, Granite Yeager, Lola Jones and Hudson Yeager, her step-grandchildren Mark (Kari) Andrews, Amber Andrews, Rhiannon Donaldson, and Christopher Donaldson, her sisters Nora (Alex) Hargrove, Rebecca "Becky" (David Macri) Yanni, and brother Bruce (Kim) Henry, her nephews Joseph Yanni, David Yanni, and Alex Hargrove and nieces, Alice Hargrove, Devon Henry, and Sarah Henry.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday October 4, 2021 at Piggotte community center in South Daytona, 504 Big Tree Rd. @ 4pm for friends and family.
