Kathryn Ann Caggiano , of Palm Coast, FL, beloved wife of Vincent James Caggiano, passed away after battling illness, on May 20th, 2022, at the age of 75 years.
Born in Washington, DC on September 29th, 1946, to parents Dorothy and Jack Hagarty, she spent her formative years in Queens, NY attending Stella Maris High School. Shortly after graduation she married Vincent James and they spent 56 years together until her passing. Kathy's early years included nursing school and training first responders. However, her greatest joy was raising her four children, who she devoted her life to and adored. Kathy was a Nurse, EMT, Medical Officer and Historian of the US Air Force Auxiliary. She also was an American Red Cross volunteer and helped found the WaterSafe charity in North Central Florida.
She enjoyed spending time raising her children and grandchildren. She was an avid country music and NASCAR fan. Kathy would seldom miss a race and loved to follow her favorite band, Southern Chaos.
Besides her loving husband, Kathryn Ann Caggiano is survived by her two daughters, Lenore Schoolfield, of Greensboro, NC and Michelle West of Ft. Meade, MD, her two sons, Nicholas Caggiano of Palm Coast, FL and Peter Caggiano of Honolulu, HI, Nicks wife Rayleen (nee Lilly) and grandchildren Ashley West, Allie West, and Kaitlyn Caggiano and Great-grandchildren Emi West and Kai West.
Kathy had two brothers, Anthony Tontodonato and Richard Tontodonato as well as three sisters, Leah Wolf, Debbie Eddy and Pam Tontodonato. She had ten Aunts and Uncles in the Hagarty Family: George, Claire, Jimmy, Pat, Betty, Judy, Joe, Mary, Grace, and Andy, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She also had an Aunt and Uncles from the Burton side: Joan, William, Harry and Dennis.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dorothy, and grandparents, Grace and John Hagarty and Dorothea and Harry Burton.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 5 - 8 p.m., on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, FL 32137
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 pm, on Friday, May 27, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church at 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery at 3 p.m. at 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
