Kathryn was born December 16, 1932 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and LaVonne Melton.  She married Maynard D. Adams February 27,1953 in Rio Illinois.  They were married 61 years.  Together they had three children.

Kathryn will be missed by her three children:  Judy (Richard) Preston, Ormond Beach, Florida, Kathy (Jeff) Heist, Scottsdale, Arizona, Rich Adams, Ormond Beach, Florida.
grandchildren:  David (Lauren) McMaster, Adam (Emily) McMaster, Brian (Jessica) McMaster, Abegail (Matt) Urteaga, Olivia Adams, Madeline Adams  step granddaughter, Day (Ryan) Joly: great grandchildren;  Lincoln McMaster, Adelle McMaster, Abel McMaster, Landon Urteaga, Ava Urteaga, Conner McMaster;  step great grandchildren: Alexa and Preston Joly.  She is also survived by two brothers, John Melton and Dale Melton and many nieces and nephews.
Kathryn studied at Browns Business Collage and after raising her three children she began her career in book keeping for Sampson Implement Company and Kleine Equipment.
Upon retirement, Kathryn and her husband Maynard, moved to Ormond Beach where they spent many years together playing golf, entertaining friends and enjoying their family.  There are no services planned at this time however, there will be a celebration of life at a later date.  Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, 40 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
