Kathleen Weingart, 84 of DeLand Florida, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 with her family at her side.
She was born on February 27, 1932, in Trenton, New Jersey and has been a faithful member of St. Peter Catholic Church in DeLand, Florida. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother and grand-mother, family was a main focus. She enjoyed life, family members and many friends and was always there to brighten the lives of others. Kathleen had an active career as a hair stylist and sales manager. Later in life she volunteered at several organizations including the auxiliary of the Florida Hospital DeLand in the gift shop, DeLand Food Bank and at St. Peter as a Eucharistic Minister, Eucharistic Adorer, and she served on the Bereavement committee.
She enjoyed travel, especially her two trips to Ireland, Scotland and England, as well as visits to Hawaii, Mexico, San Francisco, and Colorado. Kathleen is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jerry Weingart; her daughter Marilyn Muoio and son-in law Jim Muoio, her son Jerry and daughter-in law Debby, her daughter-in-law Sandy (Bill); her grandchildren and spouses Sandra Weingart & Erica Crosman, Melissa Jordan & Andrew, John Rebman & Ariela, Robert Rebman & Kaitlin, Jerry and Christopher; and her great grandson Gavin Jordan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Phillip & Mary McHale; her sister Maryanne Dorko, her brother Danny McHale; and her son Bill Weingart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church in DeLand, Florida. A private interment will take place in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
