Kathleen Newman Sanders 66 of Ormond Beach departed this world on October 19 2012 after a long illness. Kathleen came to Ormond Beach in 1977 with the love of her life for 48 years Joseph Sanders and her two adoring sons Todd and Gary.

Kathleen was a dedicated and loved employee of The Trails Publix Bakery for 32 years. Kathleen enjoyed crafting and scrapbooking. She was a member of the American Legion Post 267 Women's Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband and her sons Kathleen is survived by her sisters Dorothy (Paul) and Joan ; her brothers William James (Luz) and John (Lorie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday October 22 2012 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Chapel with a Wake Service from 6:15 pm to 6:45 pm. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday October 23 2012 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment at Daytona Memorial Park will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Kathleen's name to the ALS Foundation.
