Kathleen Marie Lawhorne "Our Angel Kathe" passed away tragically on November 30 2011. A Visitation will be held on Sunday December 4th 2011 from 5-6pm at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange. A Celebration of Life will begin at 6pm. A Memorial service will also be held at the Greenridge Baptist Church in Clarksburg MD on December 9th 2011.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Jack Lawhorne. She is survived by her mother and step-father Jean and John Burdette soul mate Bobby Lowery her son Craig Lawhorne and his family Desiree (Wife) Jack Nico and Kale (Sons) and her loving brothers Doug and Jeff Tufts.
Kathe was born on October 17 1947 to Foster and Jean Tufts. She graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville MD. Kathe was loved by all who came to know her. She was admired for her uncanny knack for knowing how something ordinary could become extraordinary with the right touch. No one decorated or rearranged their home or business without a final consultation from Kathe.
Kathe specialized in antiques and collectibles and spent many weekends at Eastern Market and Georgetown market near Washington D.C. and spent her time in Florida working at Nicole's Beach Street Mall. Kathe was liked and well respected by everyone from all walks of life. Kathe was so kind hearted and classy that everyone that came into contact with her felt as if they have been given membership into an elite club. Kathe was the first born and devout daughter to her mother Jean. She cherished her relationship with her youngest brother Doug. She never failed to brag on her only son Craig and her handsome grandsons Jack Nico and Kale. Kathe was blessed to have Bobby to share her dreams and help make them come true.
