A Celebration of Life for Kathleen Edna ""Kelly"" Taber 46 of Ormond Beach who passed away Sunday afternoon at Florida Hospital Oceanside Ormond Beach will be held on Saturday September 29 at 2:00 PM at The Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach Chapel Granada Blvd. with Rev. Ron Oser officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the Funeral Home Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM .
Surviving Kelly are her mother Mrs. Louis (Edna M.) Alexander Ormond Beach ; her father Thomas R. Taber Rochester NY; 2 brothers Christopher Taber Rochester NY and Thomas and his wife Diane Taber Dallas TX; 2 sisters Tracey and her husband David Snow Niwot CO and Mary Elizabeth and her husband Pearce Sloan Rochester NY and several nieces and nephews. Kelly was predeceased by her brother John Patrick Taber who died in 1983 and her beloved step-father Louis A. Alexander who passed away earlier this year.
Kelly was born October 13 1960 in Syracuse NY . She graduated from H.W. Schroeder High School in Webster NY. Kelly continued her education at Community College of the Finger Lakes and received her B.F.A. degree from SUNY Purchase in 1985. Kelly was the lead in major productions including The Night of the Iguana and Richard the III. She worked for Silver Golub & Teitell Law Firm Stanford CT and was an anchor person for WCGR Television. In 2001 Kelly moved to Ormond Beach and enrolled at Daytona Institute of Massage Therapy and was employed at The Veranda Pampering Salon as a Massage Therapist until her illness. Kelly will be remembered for her love of theater and photography her lovely singing voice her generosity and her extraordinary sense of humor. Kelly was loved by all and will be deeply missed by her family and host of friends.
