Kathleen May Howe age 90 passed went to her heavenly rewards on Saturday October 8 2011. A memorial service in her honor will be held 3:00 PM Friday Oct. 14th at the Deland Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home with Pastor J.C. Gallaway officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Hollywood Cemetery Orange City.
Kathleen was born in Montcalm County Michigan she grew up on a farm in Stanton MI and was a devoted member of Open Door Baptist Church who enjoyed crocheting sewing cooking baking gardening and collecting cookbooks. She dedicated her talents as a lunchroom manager for 32 years winning a culinary award for the meals she served. Kathleen inspired her family appreciated life and filled her home with laughter. She leaves behind her husband of 70 years; Merrell F. Howe a daughter Carolyn (Tony) DuBose Cleveland GA 4 siblings; Rev. Venus Arnold IN Jerry Arnold MI Ardith Lee MN and Bonnie Sutherland FL a grandson Robert DuBose and great grandchildren Cristi Jones Brittany Brooks Brandon Jordon and Shelby Dubose and 1 great great granddaughter; Akari Brooke DuBose.
