Kathleen Marie Asting age 88 passed away on May 31 2010. A Memorial Services will be held on Thursday June 3rd at 4:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach FL (386) 673-1100. Kathleen was born on March 8 1922 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to John and Ethyl (Switzer) Beckey. In 1961 Kathleen called Volusia County home relocating from Dayton Ohio. She was a graduate of the Allegheny HS in PA and attended the Pittsburgh Business College. She was a very active person always smiling always happy. Her love was her family including her cat Roxie. She enjoyed traveling cooking and quilting. Kathleen was a member of the New Smyrna Beach Quilting Guild where she won the "Peoples Choice Award" at one of their quilt shows. She will always be remembered as being a good mother and grandmother. Kathleen Asting is survived by her sons Larry Slemp Port Orange FL Ron (Kim) Slemp Viera FL daughters Connie (Jim) Foley and Nancy Barlow both of Ormond Beach FL brother John Beckey Dayton Ohio seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter as well as by her Loving Partner Harold Hebert Edgewater FL.
