Katharine Ormsby Rowley 91 of Ormond Beach FL passed away on May 24 2007 at The Terrace of Daytona Beach. Born in Yonkers NY in 1916 Mrs. Rowley had been a Registered Nurse in Hoboken NJ and then a homemaker. Mrs. Rowley had been active for many years in the American Field Service as a host family and had been a Deacon of Olivet Congregational Church in Livingston NJ. She also volunteered at her daughter's and grandson's schools throughout her life. In 2001 she moved to Ormond Beach with her family after being a resident of Livingston for 37 years. She was a devoted wife mother and grandmother whose passion was working with children. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Rowley and her survivors include her daughter Susan & her grandson Christopher both of Ormond Beach and an extended family the Thakarars of Larchmont NY.
