Obituary

Karl Schmidt 68 of Daytona Beach passed away on Tuesday June 14 2011.

The family requests that you join them in casual attire for the Celebration of Life to be held at First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach 118 N. Palmetto Ave. Daytona Beach FL 32114. The family will receive guests on Saturday June 18th from 1:00-2:00 pm the memorial service will begin at 2:00pm.

Karl was born on February 18 1943 in Daytona Beach Florida. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. Karl was a member of the Tomoka Hunt Club and the NRA. He enjoyed cooking and was famous for his barbeque. He worked in Volusia County as a machinist for Homac Manufacturing for 36 years. Karl served in Vietnam as a Quarter Master for the Army. But his true passion was for his family; he was giving and caring. He was a loving husband and the "Best Daddy in the World!"

He is preceded in death by his parents Mae and Fred Schmidt Sr. and brother Fred Schmidt Jr.

Karl will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 43 years Blake; daughter Tamra Sams (Shannon) daughter Tarra McCall (Paul) and daughter Terri Schmidt; grandchildren Dustyn Devyn Aislin and Kimbell Blake; and nine grand-kitties.
