We sadly announce Karl Fragner passed December 31, 2016, at home with his family at the bedside. Karl was born in the Bronx on August 22, 1945. He was a signal maintenance electrician for NYC Transit Authority for over 30 years. Karl leaves his wife Edie, of 49 years and their daughters, Diane, Erika, and Christine as well as their spouses, Christel Cogneau, Frank Holubeck, Josh McEnany and three grandchildren, Sofie, Katharina and Carter.
Karl was a talkative, friendly man with an infectious smile and contagious laugh that left an impression on everyone he met-including the Walmart greeter. We will miss his sense of humor (even at inappropriate times) and positivity the most.
Final goodbye and Services will be held Saturday January 7, 2017 at the Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange at 3:00PM, with a gathering of family and friends from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers please consider the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements entrusted to Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange. Condolences and memories are welcome to be shared with Karl's family via this online guestbook.
