Karen L. Billman 71 passed away on March 20 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday March 26 2013 at 11:00 A.M at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 998 Father Donlon Drive New Smyrna Beach Florida. A visitation in her honor will be held on Monday March 25 2013 from 5:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M with a Rosary service at 6:30 P.M at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave Port Orange Florida. Karen will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in La Salle Michigan. Karen retired from Monroe Michigan as an elementary school teacher specializing in art. She relocated to Florida from Michigan to be closer to her family and to spend more time with her grandchildren. Karen was a devout Catholic and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church regularly and was a board member of the Council of Catholic Women. Karen was also a talented artist and a member of the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach. Those left to cherish her memory are her children Jeffery Billman Kelly (Johnny) Valenti Christopher (LaDonna) Billman and Kathleen (Keith) Adle. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren Jaime Kacy Jeffery Gregory Jacob Rebecca Brooke and Danielle. Karen is now at peace with her late brother Ronald Williams. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Karen's name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Atlantic Center for the Arts 1414 Art Center Ave New Smyrna Beach FL 32168.
