Gordon "Just Buddy" Hingle 63 a life-long resident of Holly Hill FL passed away August 1 2009 at his home with his wife by his side. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy and served 2 tours in Vietnam as a Navy Seal 1. After returning home and taking some time off to travel he opened "Hingles Automotive" located on Merritt Island. Years later he worked for eight years in the Service Department at Daytona Harley on Beach Street. "Just Buddy" had a passion for Motorcycles and had been riding for over 50 years. He took part in many riding events but was most passionate about the charity ride for "Toys for Tots". He also enjoyed fishing in the Keys scuba diving surfing NASCAR and watching the Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins. Prior to his illness he could be found surrounded by friends in places such as Froggys the Cabbage Patch the Iron Horse or the White Eagle. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved playing practical jokes on his friends and family. A memorial service will be held on August 22nd at 5:00pm at Shady Rest Cemetery 1650 Moravia Ave. Holly Hill. A celebration of his life will be at Chris's Lounge 1301 Ridgewood Ave Holly Hill immediately following the service. Left to cherish his memories is his wife Sandy; Mother Kate Hingle of Holly Hill; Daughters Vanessa (Phil) Sokic and Brittnay Hingle of Los Angeles CA Angela Faircloth of Edgewater Nikki (Paul) Anderson of Holly Hill; Son Jason (Melisa) Faircloth of Holly Hill; Brothers Tom (Sam) Hingle of Merritt Island Larry Hingle of Holly Hill and six Grandchildren.
