June I. Stevens 76 of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully after a five year battle with pancreatic cancer on January 20 2011. A visitation will be held on Sunday January 23 2011 at Beacon Baptist Church 2315 Beville Rd Daytona Beach FL from 3pm until 4pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 4pm. A graveside service will be held on Monday January 24 2011 at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery at 1pm.

June was born in Slatersville Rhode Island on June 7 1934 to the late Calista and Aldore Poirier. Following High School June served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1957. During her service she met the love of her life Mr. Lynn Stevens and the two later started their family. She retired after many years of working in the Insurance business. During her career she obtained her Real Estate License and many other accolades. Most of all she was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Calista and Aldore Poirier two sisters and one brother.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory beloved husband Lynn Stevens son Scott (Michelle) Stevens of Daytona Beach Daughters Kathy (Mark) Cabeen of Anchorage Alaska and Mary (Mark) Mathews of Pensacola Florida eight grandchildren two great grandchildren and a multitude of friends.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Weiss and staff at Halifax Oncology Center and the Staff of Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler.
