June L. Hughes 83 of Flagler Beach passed away Friday April 16 2010. A Celebration of life will be held at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy on Thursday April 29 2010 at 6pm. The family will begin receiving guest at 5pm. Reception will immediately follow the service at the Funeral Home. June was born in Beverly Massachusetts on May 24 1926 to James & Marion Merrill. She enjoyed spending time with her family dancing and gardening. June worked with the Civil Air Patrol and as a seamstress florist and Draftsperson for United Shoe Machinery. June and her husband enjoyed square dancing and we are part of the Fair town Squares dancing organization. She also was involved in the Topsfield gardening club. Her presence will be greatly missed but her life always be remembered. June is preceded in death by her husband Dermont V. Hughes son Mel Hughes father James and mother Marion Raymond Merrill brothers Charles and Chester Merrill and granddaughter Jessica L. Hughes. Survivors include her loving son Robert (Darlene) Hughes Of Palm Coast; sisters Ruth Kennedy Eva (Don) Bowden; grandchildren Samantha Hughes Shelby Hughes; and great grandchildren Alexis Robles and Ethan Robles.
