Surrounded by her family, Julia King went home to be with Jesus on October 23, 2017 at the age of 53. Julia, a native of Florida, is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Brian King, and their three children Ashley, Jessica, and Matthew, who were always the joys of her life. She is also survived by her parents Carolyn (Ray) and William Hardin, two sisters, one brother, their spouses, two step-sons and their families, four grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Julia was preceded by her sister-in-law, Diane King, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Doris King, and her grandparents Faye and Harvey Ray, and CB and Mary Hardin. She leaves behind many family members, friends, and neighbors to remember her and cherish her legacy. Julia was the best mother in the entire world. She loved her children more than anything and devoted her life to teaching and raising them. Julia was passionate about homeschooling and successfully brought all three of her children through school and into college. She not only taught them math and English, she taught them to love unconditionally as Christ would, to give whenever they could, and made them promise to do their homework and change the world.
As a wife, Julia was the best partner anyone could pray for. She was kind, honest, and faithful. She forgave and loved unconditionally. Brian and Julia were truly soulmates who shared many exciting adventures together. Julia had a wonderful relationship with her parents and family and always treasured the time she spent with them. Everyone who met Julia loved her. She could light up even the darkest hospital floor. Her room was always filled with family, friends, neighbors, and nurses we'd met along the way. Julia was a community Mom and has countless children that she helped raise and considered family. Julia loved to laugh and had an outrageous sense of humor. She always spoke her mind, which resulted in a home filled with laughter and love. Julia had the most beautiful smile that could encourage anyone who needed it. She loved to read, loved music, and loved supporting her family at sporting events, concerts, and anything else they took part in. She was an amazing friend to many people and was always there to listen and give guidance. Julia had an incredible faith and relationship with the Lord that brought her great joy throughout her life and comfort in difficult times. Julia touched more lives than she ever imagined. In the many stories her family has heard, the most common statement is, "I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for Julia. She changed my life." Julia was a beautiful light in the world that will be missed greatly. However, we know that angels don't miss anything; they simply watch over us from a better seat in Heaven.
