She and her family lived in several parts of the country during Walters's career with Procter & Gamble. They moved to the beach after retirement 20 years ago. Prior to that they lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Judy was a co-owner and manager of a bookstore. That was her greatest love, after her family, as she was an avid reader all her life and loved singing and playing the piano. She was in the choir in high school, college, and church.
