Judith Ann Closson Dyke, 85, of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away Saturday, February 24,
2024. She was born on May 27, 1938 in Bethesda, Maryland. After graduating high school she
attended an LPN program in Bethesda. Later she earned her Nursing Degree from what was then
known as Daytona Beach Junior College (now Daytona State College). She furthered her
education by earning her Bachelors in Health Care administration from Saint Leo College.
Judith had a rewarding career with Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach and retired as a
Nursing Supervisor after 25 years. In her non-working hours she enjoyed sewing, traveling,
gardening, and reading.
Judith is survived by her Son, Edward A. Dyke (and Daughter-in-law, Sharon Dyke); Daughter,
Teresa K. Wells (and Son-in-Law, Jamie Wells) and Son, John H. Dyke (and Daughter- in-Law,
Patty Dyke); Granddaughter, Christina (and her husband, James); Granddaughter, Rebecca;
Grandson, Ryan; Step-Granddaughter, Arley Gianetti (and her husband, Jason); Step-Grandson,
Chad Wells; Great-Granddaughters, Sophia and Aria; Step-Great-Granddaughters, Oliva and
Lilita; and other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, William
Harley Closson; her Mother, Elsie Boehm Closson; and her Grandson, Matthew Aaron Duncan.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 am-11:00 am with the Funeral Service being held at 11:00 am on
Thursday March 14, 2024 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue
Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. A Graveside Service will follow in Daytona Memorial
Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114
