Juanita M. McDonald, 94, of Daytona Beach, passed away on May 27, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday June 11, 2016 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. The family will be receiving friends from 10am til the service begins at 11am.
Juanita was born on July 30, 1921 in Hattisburg, Mississippi to George and Mina Marsh. In 1924 she moved to this area as a baby from Mississippi.
She was employed by the Volusia County School Board and prior to that in the Nursing field at Welch Convalescent Hospital during WWII.
Juanita received awards and trophies for her ballroom dancing which she enjoyed with her friends. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and traveling with her friends and family.
Survivors include her loving husband of 75 years, Murray; son, Murray, Jr. of Daytona Beach; two daughters, Mina Sue Kelly of Port Orange and Melinda Bressler of Orange Park; brother, Maurice Marsh of Fort Lauderdale; sister, Mina Allman of Deland; seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Meeko and Lucia Pello and her brother, George Marsh.
Memorial Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
