Joyce Jacqueline Heslip, age 85 Passed away peacefully November 22, 2014. A funeral Service will be held 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. A visitation will be one hour prior to the Service at LOHMAN FUNERAL HOME DAYTONA. Burial will follow at DAYTONA MEMORIAL PARK.

Joyce was born in Herndon, West Virginia June 3, 1929. As a young adult, she moved to Florida where she met, married and is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, James Heslip. Joyce retired from Pantry Pride Grocery in 1978 after 26 years of service and raising her four children.

Joyce was predeceased by her mother Eva White and father Mack White Sr and two brothers Mack White Jr and Mont White, and her sister Ola Long. She leaves behind her daughter Cynthia Atkinson Cathey and husband Carl T. Cathey, son Bobby Atkinson, Jr and wife Carol Atkinson, son Rick Atkinson Sr and wife Pam Atkinson, and daughter Mickie Atkinson Comiskey and husband Charles Comiskey. She has six wonderful grandchildren Ashlea O'Neil Collins-Rombach and her husband Sean Rombach, Ricky Atkinson Jr and wife Linsey Atkinson, Daniel DeAngelis and wife Cristy DeAngelis, Drew Atkinson and wife Meaghan Atkinson, Bobby Atkinson III and Nikki Atkinson. Joyce also leaves behind her beloved companion, Golden Retriever, named Beau that never left her side.

Joyce was the matriarch of the family. Her strength and love for her family and of life will remain with all of us. The family would like to express special thanks to the ladies at Davita Dialysis Center and Dr Vinayak Purandare for their years of love and care they showed our Mother.
