Obituary

Joyce C. Haselman of Palm Coast Florida passed away on September 1, 2021. She was born on July 24, 1938 in Queens, NY to Julius and Pauline Spica. She was a lover of life, a devoted wife and mother, an extraordinary grandmother and a steadfast protector of her family. Her passions included music, animals, quilting and sewing, visiting Las Vegas, fishing and camping, motorcycling, and discovering this beautiful country through travel. She was a talented quilter who made extraordinary quilts and other handmade items. Additionally, she created handmade teddy bears for which she lovingly donated to the Victory Junction Camp for children.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Otto Haselman and her parents, Julius Spica and Pauline Wurtz.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas Spica and wife Nancy, sisters Laurie Tamboro and Sheryl Rosen, daughters Deborah Gleichmann and Susan Deptula; son Michael and wife Terry Haselman, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Monday September 13, 2021 in the chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast Florida.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to her favorite charitable organization, Victory Junction of Randleman, North Carolina. Victory Junction was formed by the NASCAR Petty family and provides transformational experiences to children with serious illnesses. To donate please visit http://www.victoryjunction.org.
