Josie Marie Connolly 65 passed away November 23 2008 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville FL. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday November 26th (today) from 1-2 pm at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Ormond Beach. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2 pm with Fr. Ron Oser presiding. Entombment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Marie was born May 23 1943 in New York City to Anthony and Anna Biondo. She moved to Florida in 1983 from Staten Island NY. She spent her life as a homemaker for her family and was an excellent cook especially known for her terrific cheesecake.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Thomas Connolly her son Thomas (Melissa) Connolly Jr. of San Diego and a granddaughter Mya Connolly also of San Diego. Also surviving are Marie's sister Anna (John) Skirta of Palm Harbor FL and a nephew Anthony (Mary) Skirta of Maryland. Also surviving are many other loving cousins and family members. Contributions in Marie's name may be directed to Catholic Charities. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
