Josephine L. De Pauw 87 a long-time resident of Port Orange passed away August 17 2009. She was born March 11 1922 in Belgium which is where she met and married her husband August to whom she was married 63 years. In 1957 she and her husband immigrated to the United States and lived in New Jersey. In 1963 they became citizens and in 1974 relocated to Port Orange FL. She loved to travel fish crochet dine out with friends and never said no to a good dessert! She collected stuffed animals and especially enjoyed the ones that made noise or were battery operated. The holidays were a special time for her especially Christmas when she and August were able to show off an incredible display of lights at their home. Josephine had a tremendous sense of humor and never turned down the opportunity to tell a good joke. She had a heart of gold and was a joy to be around. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband August several relatives in Belgium and her dear friends Lanny and Lora Van de Bogart. She was pre-deceased by three brothers and her little dog.
