A Funeral Service for Josephine Favale 95 of Ormond Beach who passed away on Friday February 27 2009 at Halifax Hospital Port Orange FL will be held at 10:00am Thursday March 5 2009 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach FL with burial to follow at Daytona Memorial Park. The family receiving friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm with a 6:30 prayer service. She was born in Frankfort New York on January 15 1914 the daughter of Cesaro and Devinace Russo Sgro. She has resided with her son Cosmo for the last eight years. Josephine worked as the Executive Housekeeper for Eleanor Village when it opened in Ormond Beach. She also did factory piece work and had multiple businesses with her husband. She traveled to Florida for winters and moved to Ormond Beach presently from Utica New York in 1974. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Up to this short illness she enjoyed driving reading visiting her sisters cooking Italian bread and cookies. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent who passed in 1976 and by five sisters. Josephine is survived by her sons: Cosmo Favale and wife Mary Anne & Chester Favale and wife Christine both of Ormond Beach; two sisters: Florence Cavarretta and Jennie Martarano of Daytona Beach; three grandchildren: Vincent of Ormond Beach Ricky of San Francisco and ChrisstyJo (CJ) Favale of Ormond Beach; one great granddaughter Alexandria Favale of Ormond Beach along with many nieces nephews and numerous close friends. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of physicians and nurses at Port Orange Hospital for all the special care they gave to Josephine the last days of her life.
