Josephine Maria Trivigno Cavuoti Mama Jo went home to be with God on February 14 2009 at the Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville FL. Mrs. Cavuoti had been living in Gainesville with her daughter since November 2007. Mama Jo was 10 years old when she arrived at Ellis Island from her home of Pietrapertosa in the Province of Potenza in Italy. She enjoyed sharing stories with her children and grandchildren of her childhood days in Piertrapertosa. Mama Jo loved America and her eyes would fill with tears when she expressed her gratitude for being able to live in this country. Her greatest loves were God her husband and her children. She faithfully attended mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church every Sunday since 1960 when she and her family first arrived in Daytona Beach FL. Her happiest times were spent going to church and cooking and caring for those she loved. She shared more than her delicious food--she shared her heart her love and her laughter. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her and appreciated her kindness peacefulness and gentleness. She leaves behind her husband of 64 years Joseph Cavuoti; son Robert Cavuoti (Janet); daughter Marilyn Palumbo; daughter Lorraine Brunner (Steve); two grandchildren Matthew Cavuoti and Lisa Tinley; and one great-grandchild Rose Tinley. A visitation service for Mrs. Cavuoti will be held on Tuesday February 17 2009 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona at 1423 Bellevue Avenue Daytona Beach FL 32114. Visitation will be from 10:30a.m. to 11:00a.m. Funeral service will be at 11:00a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Haven Hospice E.T.
