A Funeral service for Joseph D. Sear age 78 who passed away Thursday April 17 2003 will be held on Thursday April 24 at Ormond Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Daytona Memorial Park.

Mr. Sear was born in Worcester Massachusetts and moved to Daytona Beach in 1961. He was a Station Agent for National Airlines until 1980 and then for Pan American World Airways in Fort Lauderdale until his retirement in 1985. During his employment for National Airlines he also worked at the Daytona Beach Jai Alai. Mr. Sear served during WWII as a Pharmacists Mate Second Class in the US Navy where he was stationed at various locations including Nagasaki Japan.

Survivors include his loving wife Alice; a son J. David Sear II of New Smyrna Beach Florida; a brother Louis D. Sear; a sister Louise Sear both of Worcester Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews.
