A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph A. Schwarz 82 of Port Orange who died on November 29 2007 will be held at 11 am Saturday December 1 2007 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm and 6 to 9 pm Friday November 30 2007 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes with a Wake Service at 7 pm. Joseph was born in Brooklyn NY to the late Anthony and Marie Schwarz. Formerly of Valley Stream Long Island he served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was a retired Captain of the New York City Fire Department. Joseph was the beloved husband of Jean; loving father of Joseph Kathleen Sharp Jane Ellen Michael Stephen and Paul; and beloved Pop to seven grandchildren.
