It is with great sorrow the family of Joseph Patrick Park Sr announces his passing. He died peacefully at Halifax Hospital attended by his loving wife Margaret and son Joseph on 4/6/2021. A Funeral Service will be held at Lohman Funeral Home 1423 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, FL., on 4/17/21 at 12 noon.
He was a resident of Port Orange Fl. After moving there from Napa, Ca. He was born in Westmont, NJ. and attended Haddonfield Memorial High School. He played on their 1949 Southern NJ championship football team as offensive tackle. He served on the USS Willard Keith destroyer in the Navy during the Korean War and received multiple Medals. He later worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a conductor before becoming a civil servant for the Navy as a radar technician. His final work was as Vice President for Trandes Corporation defense contractors.
He enjoyed football and exercising. He faithfully exercised until nearly the end of his life.
His mother passed while he was at the tender age of 10 years old. He worked his entire life  and helped to raise his younger brother William.
Mr Park is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 68 years  of Port Orange, Fl.  A daughter Mary Luckett wife of Austin of Panama City Beach, Fl. Son Joseph Park Jr. of Port Orange, Fl. Son Thomas M Park MD and wife Kristina of Tallahassee, Fl. And brother William Park husband of Rosemary of Haddon Township, NJ. Along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his Parents William and Rosetta Park and daughter Patricia Park.
