Joseph Thomas Mantia 86 of Port Orange entered into eternal life at 5:08 p.m. Wednesday November 26 2008 at Hospice of Volusia / Flagler in Port Orange.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday December 2 at the Epiphany Catholic Church in Port Orange with burial at later date in North Arlington New Jersey. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday December 1 at the Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange.
Joseph was born April 29 1922 in Jersey City New Jersey the son of Peter and Providenza (Gregorio) Mantia. He was united in marriage to Florence Schach on December 11 1948.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Florence Mantia of Port Orange; sister: Mary Garafola of Sarasota FL; sister-in-law: Mary Mantia of Syracuse New York and several nieces and nephews.
