Obituary

Rev. Joseph L. Lincoln Funeral Services for Rev. Joseph L. Lincoln age 72 of Ormond Beach who died Saturday March 6th at Halifax Medical Center will be Wednesday March 10th at 10:00am at Ormond Funeral Home.

Interment will follow with honors at FL National Cemetery.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday March 9th from 5-8pm at the funeral home.

Rev. Lincoln was born Oct. 3 1931 in Bronx NY. He served for three years in the 82nd Airborne as staff sergeant in Fayetteville NC. He joined Path Mart food chain and was director of security for all stores in NY NJ and Conn. He resided for many years in Cedar Grove NJ where he served as councilman for two years then deputy mayor for one year then mayor. In 1975 he served as secret service to President Ford. In 1980 he relocated to Ormond Beach FL and pursued his desire for the ministry. He attended Berean Bible College and ministered in many ways including as the singles leader at Calvary Assembly of God. He also ministered for three years at Bowman Nursing Home and Meridian now Coquina Nursing Home. He went on to earn his bachelor''''s and master''''s degree from Cornerstone University and served as Chaplain I with Chaplain Larry Edwards at the Daytona Beach Police Dept. He was associate pastor at Trinity Open Bible in Ormond Beach and Associate Pastor of Holly Hill Assembly of God. He was pastor of New Beginning Fellowship Church in Holly Hill and Faith Community Church in Marineland. He then worked and retired from ACT Services.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Rev. Ethel Lincoln his four sons Edward and Joseph Lincoln both of NY; Lawrence Lincoln of St. Petersburg FL; and Kelly Lincoln of Ormond Beach FL; his daughter Janet Aquila of NJ; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grand children; his four brothers Albert Anthony Andrew and Robert; and his two sisters JoAnn and Maureen.
