Joseph S. Leone 89 of South Daytona passed away on Tuesday October 11 2010 at the Hospice of Volusia Flagler. A memorial in his honor will be held at 5:30 pm on Friday October 29 2010 at the Cardwell Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home.
Joseph was born on July 13 1921 in Brooklyn New York in the Canarsie section to Battista and Josephine Leone. He served in the US Army in WWII as a Corporal spending time over in India; and was employed with the New York City Transit first driving the Trolley cars and then continued with the city buses until his retirement. Joe enjoyed singing dancing playing poker and growing tomatoes but most of all loved his family and friends. His beloved wife Catherine Gullo Leone and two siblings Marie Tambasco and Liborio Leone preceded him in death and he leaves behind a daughter; Joyce Molinelli Port Orange FL a son; John Leone California 3 grandchildren; Jenna Rose Molinelli and Michael and Tony Rosso his companion; Louise Robbins of Casselberry Fl 3 siblings: Johanna Albenga of Cape Coral FL Vincent Leone of Kissimmee FL and Margaret Hess of Gulfport MS and several nieces and nephews.
