Joseph B. Kuba, 100, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away with family by his side on Friday April 16, 2021. He leaves behind his devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and his wife Linda, Russ and his wife Lynn and his youngest son, Jeff and his daughter, Joanne and her husband Bill; seven grandchildren, Janet, Danielle, Eric, Toby, Melissa, Joseph and Alyson; seven great grandchildren, Alexandra, Holly, Samantha, Hunter, Catherine, Benjamin and Kaia and many nieces and nephews. His beloved wife of 67 years, Anne, predeceased him in 2012 as well as an infant son.
Joseph was born in Struthers, Ohio on October 18, 1920 to George and Mary Kuba. He received his degree in engineering from John Hopkins University. During WWII, Joe served with the 1264 th Army Air Forces, spending 3 years in Africa. He retired as a Major from the U.S Army Reserve.
Finally, our Dad loved Florida, traveling, bowling, fishing and golf. He celebrated his 99 th birthday at the bowling alley with his Friday bowling league and also bowled on Wednesday with the Colonial Colony Bowling League.
The family thanks Magnolia Manor and Halifax Health Hospice for their genuine care and concern for Joseph's well being. Internment at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, MD, will be private due to Covid concerns. Memorial donations may be made in the memory of Mr. Kuba to Halifax Health Hospice, Fund Development, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32127, Designate "East ALF Team"
