Joseph W Hood, resident of Ormond Beach Florida, left us peacefully on June 29th, 2024 at the age of 92 while surrounded by his loving family.

Dad was born in Bessemer, Alabama on June 14th 1932. His family relocated to Miami, Florida where he grew up and graduated from Miami high school in 1949. Joseph was accepted into the prominent southern military college, "The Citadel" and graduated in 1953. Dad served as a 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Army ranger division through 1957 where he met and married our beautiful mother Mae.

Dad is survived by son, Joseph Robert, daughter Zenda V Morris, and son in law Matthew A Morris.

Hobbies included: Fishing, camping, RVing while spending quality time with family. As an accomplished carpenter he loved building Campers and boats.

He was our treasure. We miss and love him.
