Gabriel, Joseph, 91, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2014. Joe was born in NYC, NY, the youngest of six. He proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII as a radio operator in the PT Service in Okinawa. He met Louise (Letty), the love of his life, graduated from Manhattan College and enjoyed a long career as an accounting executive and VP in the textile industry. They married and raised their family in New Jersey, retiring in 1984 to Florida. Joe served on the Board of Directors of the Lake Beresford Yacht Club and as Director to the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs for many years.

Joe is survived by Louise, his wife of 64 years; his daughters: Chris Torrano (Nick) & Lou Muniz (Steve); his three grandsons: Nick (Wendy & great-grandson, Joseph), Marc (Ali DeRosa), Michael (Meghan) and his only granddaughter, Emily. He leaves a trail of people who feel blessed to have had him in their lives for so long. Joe (Poppy) was a husband, father, golfer, advisor, role model, friend, and will be long remembered for his gentle spirit, sense of humor, integrity, his love for his family and his love of the Lord.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on 11/7/14 at 11:30 am at St. Ann's in Debary, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice, West Volusia Care Center, HalifaxHealth.org/Hospice.
