Joseph J. "Jack" Battaglia

5/15/34- 7/24/34

Joseph J. (Jack) Battaglia passed peacefully in the presence of family on July 24 ^th after an inspirational year to all who knew him.

Beloved husband of Ursula (nee Wynn), devoted father to Lauren, Lise & Christopher. Cherished grandfather of Brendan and Alec. Brother to Barbara Frascati and the late Patricia DeMasi. Survived by many  nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Civil Engineer, with a long career in the private sector  in NYC and Hudson County NJ
Jack, originally from Brooklyn, NY came to Daytona Beach in his "retirement".  Former board member and the Pelican Bay HOA  and President of the Mallard Cove  Association .  Founder of Bostwick Properties, LLC. Known for his dedication to his family, his self discipline, hard work , his community and his professionalism, Jack leaves behind many friends in Pelican Bay and New York City.

Graduate of St. Michaels High School, class of  1952, captain of the track team.  Attended Notre Dame University and graduated  from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn (NYU) (1961) .

Viewing is from 2-8 pm Friday July 27th at Lohman's Funeral Home ; 1423 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach . Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9am , on Saturday, July 28th at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange .
