Funeral Service for Joseph L. Bateman age 97 of Ormond Beach Fl who passed away Sunday October 31 2005 at the Coquina Center in Ormond Beach will be held in Silver Springs Maryland.
He was born September 11 1908 in Washington DC to Robert and Kathryn Bateman and moved to this area in 2002 from Spencerville MD. Joseph served in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Lions Club and the plumbing organization NAPHCC. He enjoyed his work as a plumbing contractor and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years Juanita Barrett two sons Joseph of Lewes Delaware and John of Prince Frederick Maryland. Three sisters Adele Jones of Tocoa Georgia Mabel Mattingly of Towson MD and Lola Whiteside of Tocoa Georgia 6 grandchildren 5 living and 1 deceased and 10 great grandchildren.
