Funeral Mass for Jose O. Sousa 83 of Palm Coast who passed away at Florida Hospital Flagler on Saturday evening will be held Wednesday 1/18 at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy. His family will receive friends in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm.
Born in Portugal he has been a resident of this area since moving here 4 months ago from Fairfield CT. He retired as a member of the laborers union # 665 19 years ago. Jose served in the Portugese Army and in his younger days enjoyed playing soccer and after retiring he enjoyed gardening and tinkering around the house.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Clara and their 4 children: Joe and his wife Teresa of Monroe CT. Fernando and his wife Laura of Shelton CT. Mavilde Gomes and her husband Manuel of Palm Coast and Esperanca Pinto of Shelton CT. Also surviving are 2 step sisters Anna and Maria and 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
