Eddie Sanchez, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, and friend, died Friday, April 21, 2023 in Kissimmee, Florida. He was 76 years young, as he would always remind us.

Always endearing, charismatic, and optimistic, he lived his life with his glass half-full, never empty. He was born Jorge Eduardo Sanchez in 1946 in Bogota, Columbia. He immigrated to New York City as a child, served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, and moved to Washington, DC where he met the love of his life, Kathy. They married and settled in Tampa, Fl where they raised their daughter. Later, they moved to Palm Coast, Florida to support their daughter and son-in-law in raising four grandchildren. Eddie commuted and worked in Orlando before retiring in 2015.

Eddie was a bartender, a banker, and a financial manager. But mostly, he was a family man who poured his heart and soul into caring for everyone around him and building a legacy he could be proud of. He was ever faithful to God's plan for his life. He left this world knowing he had given more than he took. He was loved by all. His friends described him as "one of their favorite people."

Eddie died surrounded by his loving family. He is mourned by his daughter, Meashell, his adoring grandchildren, his five sisters, and his mother. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy, in 2016.
