Mr. Johnny Lee Polite

Johnny Lee Polite was born in Statesboro, Georgia on February 5, 1953 to the late Joseph & Ruby Best Polite.

He was educated in the Putnam County School System.

Johnny was a cook and a world-renowned painter.  He was a self-employed painting sub-contractor alongside working for the Weston Group Inc. under the owner, Mr. Kenneth Presley.

Johnny met Lisa Rainey during the summer of 1996 in Jacksonville, Florida.  On February 12, 2000 Johnny and Lisa Rainey were wed in Holy Matrimony by Dr. Janie L Rogers and Bishop Ross.  The Two became One and were presented: Mr. Johnny & Lisa Polite.

In June of 2000, Johnny & Lisa became ordained pastors and started the ministry church of Ministries for Christ Outreach, Inc. in the year of March 29, 2011.  Ministries for Christ, Outreach Inc. became active in the state of Florida, with one church, two locations.

As missionaries and pastors, the Polite's took vision of church to the next level and became a not for profit corporation.  The named the outreach and 501-C3 Hand in Hand Outreach, Inc.  The Florida not for profit corporation started in November 2016, and is actively present in the state of Florida.  The 501-C3 outreach presently provides emergency crisis relief funding, temporary shelter & resource management  to families in need, emergency food relief to families that are in need, grocery giveaways, school uniform supplies & shirt giveaways, back to school supplies with book bags, community prayer rallies, intervention and prevention with those that have substance and alcohol issues, and much more.

Pastor John, as he was known and loved by everyone, loved do cook, travel, texting the Word Ministry daily, and teach the Word of God… Pastor John was the epitome of a humble man, who became a servant to all…….

On Monday, July 19, 2021, Pastor John Polite transitioned peacefully, with a smile, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Alongside his devoted wife and caregiver Lisa, Pastor John wants everyone to know:  "Don't grieve for me, now I'm free.  I followed the path God has laid for me.  I am with Jesus Christ."

In addition to Johnny's parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Josephine Polite, uncle & aunt James Naylor & Ila Jane Walden Naylor,  uncle Halbrooks Polite, brothers Billy Polite and Jozelle Polite.

Left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife and caregiver, Lisa Polite.  Children: Michael Jones & Family, Angela (Mose)Tyson & Family, Johnny Polite, Jr. (Niechia Johnson) & Family, Yahyah Polite (Quanishia Mallory) & Family, JahJah Polite & Family, Selena Polite & Family, Vincent Rainey, Andrew Boyd, and his brother James and [Cassandra Polite]. Also, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives.

We love you and thank you.
