A Memorial Service for Johnny G. Nickels 61 of Palm Coast who passed away on April 2 2008 will be held at 1:00pm Saturday April 5 2008 at Rima Ridge Baptist Church 11 Cone Rd Ormond Beach FL 32174. Born on October 20 1946 in Grundy VA to Johnny W. & Ruthie Mae Nickels he moved to the area in 2005 from Morgantown WVa after retiring from Fairfax Mining Co. as a superintendent. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and thoroughly enjoyed all forms of racing. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Rima Ridge Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and by Lilly. Survivors include his beloved wife of 3 years Lucy of Palm Coast; his daughters: Lisa Lynn Neyman & her husband Ted of Independence WVa & Tessy Williamson & her husband Bryan of Kimper KY; his son Donald & his wife Sherry of Reedsville WVa; stepsons: Gene A. Justice & Gary Justice both of Morgantown WVa; step-daughters: Lisa Ann Blosser of Morgantown WVa Pamela Caldwell & her husband Harold of Sharpsburg GA Tonya White & her husband Alvin of Athens WVa Tara Brumit & her husband Steven of Hinton WVa & Traci Darnell & her husband Kevin of Beckley WVa; his sisters: Beulah Matney of Grundy VA Margaret Looney & her husband George of Vansant VA Helen Rasnick & her husband Doug of Meadowville VA and Fredia Colley & her husband Frank of Vansant VA; his brother Monroe & his wife Rita of Vansant VA and 14 grandchildren: Andrew Mark Terri Bekki Stevie Amber Cody Alyssa Krista Tesa Taylor Dylan Justin & Emily.
