John J Yuzzolin Jr.

John G Yuzzolin Jr., 72, of Port Orange passed away peacefully Monday, October 25, 2021, surrounded by his children. He was born on October 22, 1949 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late John Gregory and Eileen Yuzzolin.

John was a devout Catholic and member of the Church of the Epiphany, Port Orange where he served in many capacities. He was the owner of Town and Country Insurance Agency, which he started with his wife in 1979. John played basketball at Xavier University and went on to coach his kids in various sports for many years where he was also a beloved coach to many of the youth in Port Orange. He always had a passion for golf, playing many rounds on the course at Spruce Creek Country Club, where he fell in love with the community, served on the board including spending time as President, and later moved his family into the neighborhood. John also enjoyed other local courses such as Cypress Head, where he was on the Founder's Board and Riviera Country Club where he had had many close friends and long standing relationships.

He is survived by his two daughters, Beth Lea Hughes and Tammie Yuzzolin Goodballet and his son John Gregory Yuzzolin III (Lori). He is survived by his grandchildren, Donovan and Evan Hughes, Sophie and Tripp Goodballet and Lola and Jax Yuzzolin, and by his sister Eileen, along with nieces and nephews.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday November 3, 2021 at the Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette St., Port Orange, FL 32127. A visitation will be held at Lohman Funeral Homes, 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127.
