A private memorial service will be held for John N. Wolfe 86 who died peacefully at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach Fla. on Tuesday July 4 2006. Born July 16 1920 in Shickshinny Pa. he graduated from Wyoming Seminary in 1940. John served as a technical sergeant for the U.S. Marines in World War II at Guadalcanal and was the recipient of two bronze stars. He attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster Pa. and graduated with a B.S. in history in 1953. John retired from owning a delicatessen in Bloomfield NJ and moved to Port Orange Fla. in 1988 with his wife Marge R. Wolfe. They were married on October 3 1967 for 26 years. John?s hobbies included fishing and boating. He was a member of the Halifax Cruise Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. John was known for his gift of gab and his pleasant and kind disposition. John is survived by his daughter Jonelle W. Murray of Lancaster Pa. and her two daughters Christine C. Murray of Bethesda Md. and Allison E. Murray of Lancaster Pa.; a sister Betty Schlapp of St. Louis Mo. and a brother Edward I. Trudy Wolfe III of Port Orange Fla. In addition to his wife Marge he was predeceased by his loving sister Anne Hughes.
