John H. Winn, Jr . age 92, of Ormond Beach, FL passed away quietly, surrounded with family, on Monday, May 21 ^st , 2018.  A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30 ^th at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 West Granada Boulevard, in Ormond Beach.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29 ^th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.

John was a third generation Floridian, born in Daytona Beach on May 12 ^th , 1926 to John H. Winn, Sr. and Marlie Highfil Winn.  His father was born at a Pioneer Settlement  on the Tomoka River in Ormond, to John W. Winn and Eliza Jane Wingate Winn. They were one of the founding families of the Ormond Beach area.

He is predeceased by his parents, his loving wife of 54 years, Jennell, and his son, Michael Avner Winn.

To carry his love and memory is his son, John H. Winn III, daughter Gloria Jennell Henson (James), and nine grandchildren:  Staci C. Winn, John D. Henson, Matthew J. Henson (Keelen), Mark D. Henson (Stefanie),  Amanda G Majzner (Brad), Crystal J. Ramsey (Ahmad), Michael J. Winn (Elizabeth), Allen M. Winn (Ariel), and Mark A. Winn.  In addition, John is survived by sixteen great-grandchildren:  Krista, Vincent, Jordan, Lennox, Marley, Hayley, Logan, Elise, Calvin, Dorothy, La'Nyah, Kylee, Harper, Charlotte, Sapphire, and Christopher.  He is also survived by his sister Ellen, and various nieces and nephews.
