John Wesley Thomas 25 of Ormond Beach left us to be in heaven on Tuesday January 18 2011. John was born in Winamac Indiana on January 23 1985 to Barbara "Barbie" (Pine) Squires. A celebration of life to honor John's life will be held on Sunday January 23 2011 at 3:30PM at Tomoka Christian Center 1151 W. Granada Blvd Ormond Beach FL. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Barbara "Barbie" Squires and her husband Ron of Ormond Beach FL; brother Jesse Shriver and his wife Ashley of Ormond Beach FL; sisters Carrie Thomas of Ormond Beach FL; & Nikki Shriver of Ormond Beach FL; his Grandparents James & Carol Ecker of Crescent City FL; and Milo Shriver of Akron IN; his nieces & nephews Ethan Shriver Payton Thomas-Garner Makayla Thomas-Garner Ayden Thomas & Sadie Bruce; his beloved dog Shelby; and many other aunts uncles nieces nephews and friends. John graduated from Seabreeze High School in 2004 and received a degree in Firefighting & EMT from Daytona State College. John celebrated his life with many close friends and adoring family and enjoyed activities such as playing golf attending rock concerts with his bro's and friends cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneer's watching NASCAR (Dale Jr.) and was a huge fan of Chuck Liddell UFC fighter. He also enjoyed indulging in ketchup and being a GREAT Uncle to his nieces & nephews. John will always be considered "Mommy's Boy" to his mother and his family & friends will remember him as the LIFE OF THE PARTY. John previously worked at the Daytona Beach Police Department and currently was seeking a career as a firefighter/EMT to help others.
