John Joseph Szczudlo, Jr., 78, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025.  He was born on May 23, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois and served honorably in the United States Army.  He had rewarding careers with Dun & Bradstreet and Merrill Lynch working in Chicago and in New Jersey.  After making the move to Florida he began working with Halifax Health Hospice in Port Orange as a CNA Team Secretary where he was respected and well loved.

John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Virginia Moore Szczudlo; parents, John and Gloria Szczudlo; sister, Marie Pitts; nephew, Richard Graan Jr; and sister-in-law, Barbara Szczudlo.  He is survived by his brother Michael, sister Sharon Trock (husband, Greg), brothers , Anthony, and Robert (wife, Karen), nephew, Frank Florez (wife, Claudia), nephew, Michael Florez, nephew, Jessie Pitts, nephew, Jeffery Trock (wife, Rebecca),niece, Jennifer Barbera (husband, Tony), nephews, Robert Szczudlo, Jr. (Jessica), John Szczudlo, niece Samantha Szczudlo, and 11 great nieces and nephews.

John "Butch" will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed!  There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 2pm-4pm at Halifax Health Hospice located at 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129.

In lieu of flowers the family would request donations to be made to a charity of your choice or Halifax Health Hospice.
