John Earle Susky 89 of Orange City and Ormond Beach passed away on Monday April 19 2010. A memorial service in his honor will be held on Monday May 3 2010; 10:00 AM at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home followed by a scattering at Daytona Memorial Park. John was born January 7 1921 in West Blockton AL to Cline and Mabel Susky and grew up on Chattanooga TN. He is precede in death by his wife Helen H. Susky a son John David Susky and a sister May Alice. He was a verteran of WWII fought in North Africa and was a liaison Officer for the US Air force Academy from which he retired as a Lt. Colonel. John also retired Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater OK. He was a devoted husband and loving father and will be greatly missed. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Lee and Debbie Susky and two grandchildren Jennifer and Andrew all of Benton AR and a sister Joan Moore of Sylva NC.
