John Sippel 86 passed away May 9 2009. A private family service was held on Tuesday May 12th.
John and his family moved to Florida in 1985 from Uniondale NY. He was a retired sanitation worker and while in Florida he loved to garden cook fish and was an active member of the Port Orange VFW Post 3282 and the American Legion. He served his country during World War II and Korea as a Seabee in the Navy. John will be remembered as a devoted husband father grandfather uncle and great-grandfather.
John's wife of 60 years Edna preceded him in death in 2005. His son Albert and daughter Edna also predeceased him in 1997 and 2005 respectively. He is survived by his son John (Anita) Sippel of Levittown NY; Thomas Sippel of Westbury NY; Linda Sippel of Ft. Edwards NY; Catherine Giffone of Mastic NY; Elizabeth (Robert) Michielini of Levittown NY; Joan Polites and Arthur Laufer John's sister-in-law and brother-in-law also survive. 18 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren many loving nieces and nephews and John's mixed breed dachshund "Buddy" also survive and will miss John very much.
