Funeral service for John Shyko 90 who died peacefully early Wednesday May 09 2007 will be held at 11 a.m. Monday May 14 2007 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 139 N. Halifax Ave. Daytona Beach. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday May 13 2007 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. John was a devoted husband of Anastasia for 66 years father of Joanna (Bob) Bohan and Dolores (Tom) Backhus grandfather and great grandfather. He had tremendous pride and love for his family and home. He and his family are very grateful to the loving professional assistance of Hospice of Volusia/Flagler for his care at home. John was born in Jersey City N.J. and has been a resident of Volusia County since 1975.
